Why is sending the same resume bad for you?

When I learned this, I never sent the same resume again.

Every one is custom-made for each employer.

Be careful here not to waste your time on the wrong employers.

You need to choose carefully.

You can't randomly apply.

Because you will waste a lot of time making custom resumes.

Once you choose carefully…

you must know one thing about HR…

HR spends approximately 7.25 seconds on a resume.

They’re looking for reasons to say no.

If they see generic, or even worse, AI-generated content…

they will discard it immediately.

Their job is to remove all unfit candidates.

If they can do it in less than 7.25 seconds,

it’s even better for them.

To recap:

1. fluff words,

2. being generic,

3. AI-generated content,

4. using the same online template,

5. and not mentioning their company

are bad signs for you -

but good signs for HR,

because they can throw your resume out.
