The $250K salary strategy no one talks about
Do what no one expects from iOS developer
If you're not happy with your current employer...
And you don’t want to start a business or raise millions...
There’s another path.
Forget job boards.
Forget Fiverr and Upwork.
Stop applying to every listing you see.
Instead do this…
Think about the industry where you can add the most value.
Yes, you’re an iOS developer. And yes, that skill can be applied anywhere.
But don’t chase “anywhere.” Focus on where you can make the biggest impact.
In my case — it’s financial services. For you, it might be medical equipment or smart IoT appliances.
Now comes the real move:
Use a sales prospecting tool.
I personally use snov.io — $39/month.
Set your filters:
Industry
Location
Years founded (super important — skip the dinosaurs)
Look for companies founded after 2018, with up to 50 employees.
That’s the sweet spot: innovative, fast-moving, and willing to pay top dollar.
And don’t forget: location matters.
They don’t pay much in Pakistan. But they pay a lot in Switzerland.
You can work remotely — even for companies that say “office only” — if you show them the exact ROI you deliver.
That’s how you get hired over local candidates.
I already work for a company in Zurich. And I use that as leverage when talking to other companies.
🚀 To sum it up:
If you're an iOS dev, find out:
Where you add the most value (by industry)
Which locations give you leverage
